Grysbuck, Sharpe's

Scientific Name: Raphicerus sharpei

Subspecies: None.

Distribution: Zimbabwe, Zambia, the north easterly part of South Afric, Mozambique and Tanzania.

Habitat: Mostly hilly country near stony kopjes with dense thorny scrub and thick grass.

Description: Small antelope weighing 8 - 12 kg. with a shoulder height normally not more than 50 cm. General colour rich rufous brown speckled with white, imparting a grizzled appearance, especially along the flanks. It has white markings over the eyes and on the throat. The horns are very short, black, conical, ringed.

Hunting method: Pursch, driven hunts or walking up with shot gun.

Hunting available in: South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
