Legnica

The state hunting district of Legnica covers 8,986 hectares of diverse landscapes, including 5,571 hectares of forest and 3,415 hectares of agricultural land, meadows, and lakes. The forest is predominantly coniferous (69%) and oak (19%), with smaller areas of beech and birch. The terrain is mostly flat, with gentle hills in some parts of the district. Legnica features 77 high stands and hunting blinds, as well as 8 feeding areas. A maximum of three hunters can participate in individual hunts at a time, while driven hunts are typically organized for groups of 10–12 hunters. However, due to African swine fever, driven hunts will not be offered in the 2025/26 season.

The district is home to red deer, roe deer, and a small number of wild boar. Each year, around 50 roe bucks are harvested, with most trophies ranging between 250 and 350 grams net. However, a significant number of strong bucks exceed 350 grams, with some surpassing 400 grams. The annual red deer quota is 20 stags, most with trophy weights between 6 and 7 kg, though stags exceeding 7 and even 8 kg are taken every year. In 2023, a stag with a trophy weight of over 10 kg was harvested. Due to ASF (African Swine Fever), the wild boar population in Legnica is limited, but boars are still hunted both individually throughout the season and during autumn and winter driven hunts.

Accommodation is provided in a hunting lodge located deep in the forest, offering a peaceful setting with the nearest neighbor 2 km away. Hunters visiting the Zlotoryja district also stay here. The guest area on the first floor includes a cozy lounge, six double rooms, and one three-bed room. All rooms have private bathrooms. A refrigerator is available in the lounge, and guests have access to a secure garage and a game cooler. The head of hunting operations in Legnica is Remigiusz Baran, who speaks some German. Wi-Fi and mobile coverage are available.

Legnica is located 125 km from the Forst/Olszyna border crossing, 30 km from the city of Legnica (the nearest larger town), and 100 km from Wroclaw, the nearest international airport.
