Sefag/Labod/Szantód

The state forest district consists of a total of 8 hunting areas and is located in the southwestern corner of Hungary. Altogether, the area is one of Hungary's largest at a total of 104,000 hectares, which are located in Somogy County, which is described as one of Hungary's game richest regions at all.

Some of the largest hunting areas are called Lábod and Szantód. Here you can experience an intense fallow deer hunt in October, where the forest is full of grunting fallow deer all day long. At the same time, the quality of the game population is top notch and the extremely professional and strict management ensures excellent genetics and trophy quality.

All the areas are home to excellent populations of fallow deer and an appropriate number of deer as well as doe and calves are killed annually, which are predetermined in relation to a set shooting plan. Due to the enormous size of the area, it is no problem to organize individual hunts for larger groups of up to 8-10 hunters. The associated hunting guides have extensive experience in deer hunting and can estimate the trophy size very accurately.
