Kuhl's Deer

Scientific Name: Axis kuhli

Subspecies: None.

Distribution: The Culion Island in the Palawan Archipelago in western Philipines.

Habitat: Wet grassy jungle, riverbanks, mangroves and open grassy plains.

Description: Hog Deer sized deer weighing up to 50 kg and measuring up to 80 cm over the shoulder. It may reach a total body length of 1,50 m without tail (25 cm). General colour dark brown.

Hunting method: Stalking, from high seat, with dogs.
