Scientific Name: Vulpes bengalensis

Distribution: In this region, from Pakistan to eastern Afghanistan. On the Indian subcontinent from the Himalayas and western Pakistan to the southern tip of India.
Habitat: Semi-desert, open woodland and steppe, found up to an altitude of max 1.500 m.
Description: Similar in size to the Red Fox, the Bengal Fox weighs up to 4 kg. It measures up to 30 cm over the shoulder, and reaches a total body length of 60 cm, without tail (35 cm).
Hunting method: With eagles, with dogs, traps, in connection with other hunts.
