At one of our state forest areas for red deer in Bulgaria, we have received permission to help manage the population of hinds. The game population, particularly red deer, is outstanding, and hunters can expect plenty of shooting opportunities, also on wild boar. The hunting area is located in beautiful natural surroundings in northeastern Bulgaria. Rifles are available for hire, and the use of suppressors is permitted.

Several years ago, a wealthy and passionate Bulgarian hunter initiated cooperation with a number of state estates and national parks in northeastern Bulgaria. After years of extensive and dedicated game and habitat management, the result today is a world-class population of red deer, in particular. All estates are free-range areas in fertile natural landscapes along the Danube River and the Romanian border.
Both red deer and wild boar have crossed the Danube and established themselves on a number of islands of approximately 600 hectares each. Today, these islands hold very strong, undisturbed populations where game management is also carried out. Hunting of hinds is naturally possible here as well, and a very comfortable hunting lodge has been built, offering the same high standard of service and catering as the mainland lodges.
These estates are among the CIC President’s favourite areas, and he frequently hunts here. Not least because a record stag has been taken here, weighing no less than 16.96 kg and scoring 253.86 CIC points! Hind hunters can also, with high probability, be offered the opportunity to take a cull stag if desired.
Hind hunting takes place from October 1st to January 31st. The most convenient travel option is to fly to Bucharest, from where the drive to the estate is approximately 2 hours. Rifles can be rented on the estate.
Prices include full-board accommodation in comfortable hunting lodges decorated with trophies and offering a warm, authentic hunting ambiance. Meals are plentiful and of good quality. All drinks are included – even alcoholic beverages, such as local wines and beers. Bulgaria is renowned for its excellent wines.

Trophy Hunting
Your professional hunting guide will assess the trophy with great confidence and ensure the best possible shooting opportunity. According to Bulgarian hunting law, a foreign hunter must accept a variation in trophy size of up to +/- 15% in the harvested game. If the variation exceeds 15%, the trophy may be left behind. This provides additional security when planning the trophy fee budget.
