The Runowo hunting district, located in the northwest of Poland, spans a total area of 5,000 hectares, of which 2,700 hectares are forested, while the remaining 2,300 hectares consist of agricultural land, meadows, lakes, and wetlands. The forests in Runowo offer a varied landscape, with 40% coniferous forest, 35% oak, 15% birch, and 10% other tree species. The area is mainly flat. Runowo has 23 high seats, as well as 11 feeding places. Up to 3 hunters (2 for deer) can hunt at a time on individual hunts. Popular driven hunts are conducted for groups of at least 14 hunters in collaboration with the Lutowko hunting district.
The wildlife population is diverse and well-managed, including roe deer, red deer, fallow deer, and wild boar. Each year, 22 roe deer bucks are harvested. Trophy-wise, most of the bucks weigh under 350 grams net, but some bucks are harvested weighing over 350 grams. The annual red deer quota is about 30 stags, with most of them having antler weights of 5-7 kg, although stags over 7 kg and even 8-9 kg are also harvested. The fallow deer population is healthy, with around 17 fallow bucks being harvested each hunting season, and the trophy quality is around average. Runowo is also home to a good population of wild boar, which are hunted both during individual hunts throughout the season and during driven hunts in the autumn and winter.
Accommodation takes place at the nearby Lutowko hunting lodge. The guest area consists of 2 single rooms, 4 double rooms, and 3 triple rooms, all with their own private toilet and bathroom. There is access to a locked garage and cold storage. The hunting is managed by the experienced hunting manager Maciej, who speaks a little English.
