Messala

The hunting concession consists of over 500,000 hectares of untouched wilderness in the northern part of Mozambique. The district lies south east of the Niassa game reserve, between the Messalo and Niorenge rivers which form its northern and south eastern borders. The district is traversed by enormous, volcanic rock formations called island-mountains, surrounded by open plains and miombo forest. With sub-tropical vegetation and climate, and moderate to high levels of rain, this district is home to large herds of sable and is an outstanding habitat for elephant and leopard.

It is also possible to use fly-camps - especially if you wish to penetrate further into the hunting district or track elephants without wasting time on transport from the main camp. For this purpose, there is a special trailer that can be coupled to the hunting vehicle.
