Zamrzenica

The Zamrzenica state hunting district is 17,274 ha. in size, of which 9,700 ha. is forest and the remaining 7,574 ha. farmland, meadow, lakes and wetlands. The forest is predominantly coniferous (circa 80%), but there are also areas of oak, birch and other broadleaf trees. The district is generally flat, but some areas are slightly hilly. Zamrzenica has over 125 high seats/stands and 50 feeding places. Up to 6 hunters can be taken at a time for individual hunts, while the optimal group size for driven hunts is 10 - 12.

This district can offer hunting for roe deer, red deer, fallow deer and wild boar. Every year 85 roe bucks are taken here. Most of these trophies are under 300g net, but a number of bucks of over 300g are shot here. The annual quota for red stags is 35 - the majority have a trophy weight of 4 - 5kg. However ever year stags of over 6kg are taken here, with a few individuals achieving over 7kg - and on rare occasions 8kg. The fallow deer population is expanding rapidly with a yearly shooting plan of 20 fallow bucks, and there is a good chance of bagging a buck with a trophy weight of over 3kg. In 2016 were shot 3 fallow bucks with a trophy weight of close to 4 kg. There is also a good population of wild boar here at Zamrzenica, and these can be shot on individual hunts throughout the season as well as on the 5 annual driven hunts, which normal produce a good mixed parade with all the different species available on show.

Zamrzenica is 275 km from the border crossing at Kolbaskowo south of Szczecin (circa 4 hours), 60km from Bydgoszcz, which is the nearest major town, and around 160km from Gdansk, where you can find the nearest international airport.
