The Dąbrowa state hunting district in north west Poland covers a total area of 11,344 ha. of which 9,857 ha. is forest while the remaining 1,487 ha. consists of farmland, meadow, wetlands and small watercourses. In the midst of the district is a lake of some 19 ha. where it is possible to fish. The forest predominantly consists of conifers (83.6%), but there are also oaks (5.8%), birch (4.4%), alder (2.7%) and other broadleaf trees (3.5%). The name “Dąbrowa” is derived from the Polish name for oak (dąb). A large part of this beautiful district is slightly hilly. Dąbrowa has 75 high seats/stands and 21 feeding places. It is also possible to arrange an exciting hunt from a horse drawn wagon, as long as you arrange this in advance. Up to 8 hunters can be cater for at a time, but 4 - 5 is the optimal number.

This district is home to Poland’s largest population of fallow deer, with an annual quota of around 270 individuals. Dąbrowa also has good populations of red deer, wild boar, but numbers of roe deer are limited. Around 8 roebucks are shot here annually, most of which produce trophies of under 250g net weight, but a few individuals of over 300g are also taken from here. The annual quota for red stags is 25 - by far the most of which have a trophy weight of 4 - 6 kg, although every year a few trophies of over 6 kg are shot here. Around 50 fallow buck are taken here annually, good, average sized Polish buck - with a few bucks approaching - or slightly above - 3kg trophy weight. There is a reasonable population of wild boar at Dąbrowa, which can be hunted on individual hunts throughout the season or during hind-stalking/small driven hunts in the autumn and winter.

Dąbrowa is around 320km from the Kolbaskowo border crossing south of Szczecin, around 18km from Swiecie and 25 km from Grudziadz, which is the nearest major town. The closest international airport is at Gdansk, a distance of 120km.
