Scientific Name: Thylacinus cynocephalus

Subspecies: None.

Distribution: Tasmania.

Habitat: Mountain forests in Tasmania.

Description: Dog-like animal weighing up to 35 kg and measuring up to 65 cm over the shoulder. It may reach a total body length of 1,30 m without tail (65 cm).

Hunting method: Thought extinct until 1988, when it was sighted anew by the locals.
