Tibetan Fox

Scientific Name: Vulpes ferrilata

Subspecies: None. Some authors assume a closer kin-ship to the Corsac.

Distribution: Xizang (Tibet), China and Nepal.

Habitat: High altitude steppes between 400 and 5.000 meters.

Description: Medium sized fox weighing up to 6 kg. It measures up to 30 cm over the shoulder and reaches a total body length of 70 cm, without tail (30 cm).

Hunting method: With dogs, traps, eagles.
