Scientific Name: Gulo gulo

Distribution: The Taiga- and tundra regions of the northern hemisphere. In this region: Russia, northern Mongolia and Manchuria.

Habitat: Taiga and tundras, moors and mountain forests with rocky outcrops.

Description: Largest of the mustelidaie, the Wolverine weighs up to 30 kg. It measures up to 45 cm over the shoulder and reaches a total body length of 90 cm, without tail (30 cm). General colour dark blackish brown with yellowish markings on head, shoulders and along the sides. Hunting mehtod: With dogs, traps, by following the tracks on skis.
