Scientific Name: Cephalophus natalensis

Subspecies: None

Distribution: A broad belt along the East African coast, from Somalia in the North to Natal in South Africa.

Habitat: Dense bush and woodland, also montane forest.

Description: Small antelope with a weight of around 10-15 kg and a shoulder height of 30 - 40 cm. General colour almost uniform bright rufous chestnut all over, and a well developed tuft between the horns consisting of black and white hairs.

Hunting method: Normally lying in wait and pursch, but can be attracted within shooting range by imitation of the distress calls of smaller animals.

Hunting available in: Tanzania, Mozambique and South Africa.
