Hunting roebuck in Romania is a story in it self. You can challenge yourself as much as desire.
The hunt is carried out as "spot and stalk", which means that along with your guide you will stalk through the wonderful terrain to see if you can get the better of a good roebuck.
The hunting here is outstanding, and often the bucks you shoot will be mature animals over 5 years of age.
Typically the bucks shot here will be between 250g and 400g trophy weight, but there is the possibility of finding one of the few really big roebucks found here.
Your guide will point out to you the bucks you may shoot, it is possible a situation may arise when you get a no for a specific buck, this is because it is the guides responsibility to ensure the bucks shot follow the districts management plan and shooting quota. The districts are up to an approx 3 hour drive from Sibiu airport.
If you have the desire to shoot a roebuck that is really one of the cream of the crop - then you really have to visit Romania. The best period to find one of the really big bucks is just at the opening of the season.
